Audio production, editing, strategy and more

Production

Audio producers do research, frame the story, search for sources, book guests, prep interviews, record the conversation in studio and in the field, synthesize the best stuff, pull the good cuts, stack that good stuff into a story, write the script, take feedback, revise the script, take more feedback, do rough voice over, deliver the audio, add scoring and sound design, make everything sound good, write web and social copy, publish the show, and promote it.

It’s a lot but we can help.

Editing

Editors help producers, reporters and hosts get their arms around a story. They ask difficult questions, lead concepting, and push the team to make something that no one has ever heard before. They help hone the tone of the show, figure out what big idea you’re illuminating, and keep you aligned with the mission. During production, editors give feedback, help team members grow their skills, remove obstacles, course correct, problem solve, co-write with greener talent, and hold the team accountable.

It’s a big job, but somebody’s got to do it.

Strategy

Every podcast is someone’s favorite podcast. You just need to get yours in the right set of headphones. Or smart speaker. Or in-dash media system. Or seat back entertainment. Or social channel. Or training module.

We’ll help you herd the cats and get heard.
